Its powerful, I'm comparing it to common range hood extractor systems which are typically at head height and very loud due to proximity of the blowers. I thought that adding a remote in-line blower would be a 100% improvement in noise level, but its still pretty loud. Whats funny is they state it can be speed controlled but it causes an electrical hum on any setting but high which is more annoying than the sound of the air. But it is powerful. I would have bought the one with the cord if I knew they had it, no biggie.
