Light goes very bright on high and the fan very blows better than I thought it would.Blades are not external therefore it's a great installment for a bunk bed or a loft bed in children's room.We added this fan in the living room and dining room of a cabin that can get very hot in the summer. The lighting is great, the fan flow is great. The only down sides IMO are the beeps from the remote (I don’t feel they’re necessary) and the noise on high sounds like a box fan. Other than those very minor irritants, I love them.This fan is noisy at high speeds, but thats not the half of it. I was excited to get and install this fan in my office. I've done several of these "new" fans and have never had a problem ..... till today.First, the mounting plate is not standard for a US ceiling fan mounting box. You have to drill separate holes in the ceiling and use small (<1/8") plastic wall anchors (supplied). These are not designed to hold up 3lb fan/light in a drywall ceiling. I used small molly bolts just to be safe. Very poor design for US homes.Second: There is no way to support the fan while it's being connected to the electrical wires. It can be done with a little ingenuity, but definitely not safe when you're on an 8 ft ladder and trying to hold everything and not drop the fan, and connect the wires.Third: The supplied connectors used to connect the house wiring to the fan/light do not hold the wires very secure...use wire nuts. Don't use the connectors in the package.Fourth: NO BATTERIES for the remote. Not totally bad, right? NOPE... the remote does not take a standard AA or AAA battery PLUS there is nothing in the instructions or on the remote as to what batteries are required. OK.. so use the APP you say...yeah!,Fifth: Instructions in the app are pretty confusing. Even tho I'm over 70, I'm not totally unfamiliar with following directions in an app. I've paired many a device with my phones both android and apple. This is just nuts and I couldn't get it to pair no matter what I did. Maybe I need to learn a different languageSO... now I have to take this down and re-install my original fan. There goes 2 hours of time I wish I could get back.My recommendation, unless you're in a far east country you're in for a very confusing and frustrating install. Buyer beware. I don't want another one!For the price I was expecting more. Unit is mostly plastic and very lightly built. Mounting bracket would not fit my existing ceiling fan mounting box. I had to modify the bracket so the screws matched the box. Biggest letdown was the fan is very noisy. The fan does move a lot of air but even the low setting is much louder than a desk fan..If you need white noise to sleep this fan will provide it !! Overpriced for what I received..Fan has stopped working after only two months.Everything on it very plastic. Noisy while running, so much so can’t sleep with it running. Light bright. Remote and phone app don’t play nice together. It is pretty.The biggest worry that I had while I was buying this fan was if it would be bright or not. Turns out that I didn't need to be worried. When we finished installing it, and after we turned it on for the first time, this light lit up my entire kitchen and halfway my living room. It was so BRIGHT! This light is easy to install; it took us about ten minutes. Finally, it can also be controlled by a remote (it comes with one) which I found really useful. If you do not want it to be blindingly bright, there are three other modes that are more dim. All in all, this was a great purchase!
