We bought three of them. It only works with a remote. It’s very pretty. You have to pair with the remote or the one remote will pair with all of them..Took down my old noisy fan that stopped working and replaced it with this one, I was really excited to get it up after getting the main part of the fan installed I went to add the light fixture which showed up bent. I'm currently living with it bent since we needed the fan and didn't have time to deal with a replacement.This was easy to install and great quality. Blades were not as brown as we had hoped, they had more red in them. But we opted to paint them rather than return the fan. It also shipped and arrived sooner than expected. Perfect purchase for our living room remodel!Whoever designs ceiling fans should have to try installing them. This was very hard to install! Would maybe be easier if I had tiny child hands. Getting all the wires tucked into the top along with the remote box and the ball hanger proved to be almost impossible. In frustration I gave up and pulled out the remote box. Finally got the fan installed only to realize you HAVE to have the remote to control it. Sigh. It looks really pretty hanging in my bedroom and will be a decorative piece until I have a free 10 hours to take it down and start all over.Beautiful but did take a while to install.Great touch for a rustic lookI love the looks of the ceiling fan....however, the ceiling fan remote is not working and its been 1 week and customer service still has not gotten back with me......I'm beyond disappointed.Beautiful fan quiet
