This is my 2nd patio misting fan and this one has a better design of the housing than my previous fan. My old one had metal housing for the blades which had two piecea to it and rattled while in use. This one has a plastic single piece housing, weighs less, and is quieter. My one concern is how the plastic will hold up to being on a very sunny and hot patio all season...my previous fan lasted 9 summers.I assembled in less than 10 minutes by myself. It works like a champ and definitely makes the patio useable during the heat of the day. On the highest fan speed, the breeze with mist reached about 20 feet in a fairly protected spot (little to no cross breeze). If its breezy out expect less reach.
